Photography has always been a hobby of mine, chasing Rainbow's across field's and trying to catch that last glimpse of sunlight out at sea, so when I was given the chance to turn my hobby into a full time career, although a little apprehensive at first, it has been the best decision I have ever made.
It all started in 2005 when I went on a weekend break to Paris to visit the Chateau de Versailles. I went with a disposable camera and it wasn't until I got home and had the film developed that my passion started to grow. A picture of the Eiffel Tower taken from low on the ground stirred something inside me, and later that year I upgraded my disposable to a level entry DSLR. That picture of the Eiffel Tower is still to this day hanging pride of place in my hallway, and every time I pass it I am reminded of how far i have come. Landscapes and macro Photography was my hobby and after being asked to Photograph various family occasions, and enjoying it, I decided to pack up my full time job as a Chef and start my own business on a part time basis.
In 2011 I enrolled with The Institute Of Photography and completed a 12 unit course on basic Photography. I gained my first Diploma and then achieved the advanced Diploma the following year. Wanting to gain more in-depth knowledge not only from behind the lens, but also the wider aspects of Photography, I signed up for a City and Guilds in 2014, and in July 2015 where I completed the level 2 in Photography.
I have a passion for learning new things and am always on the look out for new idea's and props, exploring new locations and getting lost in beautiful moments.
